Can't unpack example.com data tarball

777 is clearly the wrong permission, are you sure, that you restore with root user?

  • ADMIN user of hestiacp. I tried via hestiacp web interface.
  • I recvd email as ‘Can’t unpack data tarball.’
  • I checked the backup folder was 0755. So i changed it to 0777 (user0,group0)
  • Then again hestiacp web interface > restre > multiple domains
  • Upon 1st domain restoration - recvd the fail email again. (1st domain is success)
  • Again, - I checked the backup folder was 0755. So i changed it to 0777 (user0,group0)

(Edited)… It seems the issue is on only Wordpress site files only. WP installed noramally, not via APPs.
Restoration failed on my test of 4 diff wp sites. All in my same single hestia user account.
I could see the cron is deleting the files and trying to restore. But recvd failed email notification.
So, the task is running as usual but stucked on some WP files. May be some base64 code injected files…! (Possibly).

delete the existing user first, then restore the backup.

Hi, the issue is NOT RESTORE-USER.
The issue is RESTORE-DOMAIN.
Not user plz.

Just to clarify… The backup folder permissions:
The permission is supposed tobe 0755
Owner ID, Group ID > is ‘0’ or ‘1000’
(0 =root)(1000 = admin’ )

drwxr-xr-x 11 root root 4.0K Feb 21 05:10 backup
