Core Update Often Breaks 'admin' Password, Disrupting API Functionality

Hello everyone,

I’ve encountered a recurring problem where updating the Hestia Control Panel core frequently breaks the ‘admin’ password. This issue is especially critical because it directly impacts the API functionality, leading to significant disruptions.

While the v-change-user-password command can be used to reset the password, this is not a viable long-term solution. This behavior is abnormal and should not be happening in the first place. Given the importance of maintaining API stability, this needs to be addressed as a critical priority.

Has anyone else experienced this issue? Are there any known workarounds or plans to fix this in future updates?

Strange, I’ve never seen that behavior on my Hestia servers.

While the v-change-user-password command can be used to reset the password, this is not a viable long-term solution.

You should use access key and secret key to access API instead of user/password.

First someone needs to identify the root cause and if it isn’t easily reproducible it would be hard.
