For those who bump into this; The RFC for email-address formatting ignores dots or case when used in the part in front of the @ sign. Just so you know, if you use dots in the aliases field for hestiacp, it does not parse it as such. If you type an alias like
a.b.jensen
hestia will parse it like 3 aliases;
a
b
jensen
At least that’s what I’ve deduced from adding aliases…
And likewise, if you want an address like [email protected] to work, you should add
abjensen
as an alias…
