How to safely add custom configs (for e.g. bind and spamassassin)?

Can I safely modify these two files on a HestiaCP server? (without the risk of being overwritten upon the next update, now or in the future)

  • /etc/bind/named.conf.local
  • /etc/spamassassin/local.cf

Also can I add local config options to exim4 and if so how?

Yes you can, exim aswell. We do not overwrite this files, if changes are needed, we’re going to sed them.
