Mail forwarding not working on Debian 11

Hello Hestia Team and community,

Thanks to the Team for this great piece of work.

I used Hestia CP v1.8.7 on Debian 11.7 (x86_64).

All works perfectly!

Mail forwarding to internal domains is doing well.
But mail forwarding to external domains is not working.

I did some “research”: maybe it’s related to SRS, which would not be compatible with Debian 11.

I tried to change things in the exim4 conf file, with no success…

Could you help please?!

Thank you,
Bruno

Debian 11 uses exim4 4.94 and it doesn’t support SRS, you should replace /etc/exim4/exim4.conf.template with /usr/local/hestia/install/deb/exim/exim4.conf.4.94.template (remember to backup your original conf) and restart exim4 once the conf file is replaced.

I’m glad it’s working.

I forgot to say that if you are using spamassassin and/or clamav antivirus, you should uncomment the definitions in /etc/exim4/exim4.conf.template and restart again exim4.

By default the variables are like this:

#SPAMASSASSIN = yes
#SPAM_SCORE = 50
#SPAM_REJECT_SCORE = 100
#CLAMD = yes

So modify them to fit your setup.
