Message after upgrade to v1.4.14

Hello,

Here is the message I have after the upgrade to v1.4.14:

The upgrade script has generated additional notifications, which must be heeded urgently:

Warning: Please check your network config!

During this update a network compatibility issues has been detected. Both /etc/network/interfaces and /etc/netplan/60-hestia.yaml exists. This can lead to issues after a system reboot. Please review your network configuration.

cat /etc/network/interfaces

# ifupdown has been replaced by netplan(5) on this system. See
# /etc/netplan for current configuration.
# To re-enable ifupdown on this system, you can run:
# sudo apt install ifupdown

So, I shloud ignore this file, or rename it to somethings.BAK ?

No, you can ignore it, infact interfaces is basicly empty. We should have made the check a bit more detailed. Thanks for reporting!

Some servers uses /etc/network/interfaces / networking as their main way and then /etc/netplan/ was used v-add-sys-ip by accident.

To prevent this we have patched it but we where afraid that some servers had still a wrong setup…

It was a quick dirty “check” nothing fancy I prefer that 500 users check more often then needed then 10 users missing the bug…
