# Reset a website / domain

Hi all,

is there an easy way to “reset” a website, so it has the state of a freshly installed domain site? There are multiple “Quick installs”, but none seems to consider a plain static website to be set up.

Background is that I often times set up test or development domains, but when these get “too old”, I would like a fresh start and reset them. The only way I can think of at the moment is to delete the domain and create it anew, which is a bit like sledgehammer on nuts.

Hestia doesn’t provide such a feature. However, if you’re referring to a regular website, you can access the `public_html` directory via FTP, SFTP, SSH, the web terminal, or the file manager and delete your files and dirs. I think that’s fast and doesn’t require too much effort 😛

Hey,

I know, I can manually shoot the files. Which does require logging in to my server and doing a sudo. And some table dropping as well.  
I was looking for some quick and easy “Domain reset” option 😁

Well, it’s not there, so be it.
