Thanks to Eris and Ubi, I have been able to overcome all of the challenges for using a Hestia VPS to install Moodle. In appreciation, I have created a detailed tutorial outlining the Moodle installation challenges and how I was able to use Hestia CP to overcome them. This tutorial is written for non-technical users. I am sure the developers of Hestia already know all of this. However, I think teachers will greatly benefit from this information. Here is the link.
