Updating from 1.9.1 to newer Versions

Hi!

My installation seems to be stuck at 1.9.1
apt update doesn’t find any new version. So… what’s the best way to update?
I’m on Ubuntu 24.04.

Hi,

Show the output of these commands:

apt update
apt list --upgradable

You don’t have or don’t have enabled the repositories required by Hestia, show these commands:

ls -la /etc/apt/sources.list.d/
cat /etc/apt/sources.list.d/hestia.list

Oh, thanks!

How do I get the repositories added?

root@digioso:~# ls -la /etc/apt/sources.list.d/
total 52
drwxr-xr-x 2 root root 4096 Aug 25 08:58 .

cat: /etc/apt/sources.list.d/hestia.list: No such file or directory
root@digioso:~#

You must remove or copy those repos removing the .distUpgrade extension:

for f in /etc/apt/sources.list.d/*.distUpgrade; do cp -- "$f" "${f%.distUpgrade}"; done

After that you must check if the release used in that repos is the correct one, in your case, it should be noble, if you came from jammy:

sed -i 's/jammy/noble/g' /etc/apt/sources.list.d/*.list

After that, show again:

apt update
apt list --upgradable

Thanks a lot!

Upgrade was succesfful for the most part. However it seems to have had some trouble with upgrading Roundcube. But I managed to fix that.
