Thanks

Has been removed we changed it to a better method by resolving the domain:

Ok, but how can I change the helo with different IP for several domains?

Before, I had somethings:

# cat mailhelo.conf
mydomain.com:server1.mydomain.com
mydomain2.com:server1.mydomain.com
mydomain3.com:server2.mydomain3.com

The change for how the HELO is chosen was done to make your life easier. You no longer need to configure a special file with settings for each domain.

When it comes to a mail server, PTR (reverse ip lookup) + HELO should always match. So now exim does a PTR lookup of the sending domain’s ip address and uses the PTR that has been set for it to define the HELO. Now all you need to do is:

  • Configure your PTR correctly and your HELO will follow the PTR for each IP
  • Select your preferred sending ip under the Web->Edit Domain->IP Address

Nice news!
