I’m a database admin and developer by trade, but I’ve played with a lot of Web Servers over the years. At this point in my career, I have little tolerance for bullshit like cPanel. Almost EVERYONE I meet is stuck on the cPanel thing, and I try to show them Hestia… But entry level developers are just STUCK with the familiarity of cPanel.

I interviewed with cPanel corp spring 2021. It would have been fun to learn more about that platform. But to be honest, ever since CentOS 8 got killed, I’ve felt like cPanel is a platform without an Operating System!

now that cPanel supports Ubuntu, I’m willing to check it out again.
it’s nothing in particular, except “Softaculous” that keeps bringing me back.
