I get a 2fa field after user and password, but 2fa is not enabled. I get the “two-factor authentication is not enabled” after I do v-delete-user-2fa user. This is on a new installation.
Ok, part of the problem is that the system disconnected (and presumably rebooted) before it finished. I did a --force reinstall and no problem logging in now.
