421 There are too many connections from your internet address

Hi,

I get this error contiuously, but I cannot find a solution when it comes to Hestia Panel. I do read solutions online for cPanel users. I found one topic on this forum, with some type of solution I didn’t understand.
There seem to be idle connections on the FTP which I have to delete in order to keep the connection in FileZilla.

Anyone know where to delete these in my Hestia Panel?

Hi @thesolutionis,

The best thing you can do is restart your ftp server (vsftpd or proftpd).

You could also check the connections to your server to see what’s going on… but if the problem is the ftp server, restarting it should close all idle connections.

To check conections ESTABLISHED, CLOSE_WAIT and TIME_WAIT:

LANG=C lsof -Pn +c0 -iTCP -sTCP:ESTABLISHED -sTCP:CLOSE_WAIT -sTCP:TIME_WAIT
