8 Hestia servers are down after auto update

I have eight servers running HestiaCP, and all of them have been down since this morning. While the hosted websites are still operational, the HestiaCP admin panel is completely inaccessible.

When checking the Hestia service, I encountered the following error:
deb-hosting.eltrade.com hestia[1678399]: nginx: [emerg] getpwnam(“hestiaweb”) failed in /usr/local/hestia/nginx/conf/nginx.conf:2

Some servers display slightly different but similar (hestiaweb) errors, while others have the exact same issue.

Can you clarify what caused this and provide guidance on how to resolve it?

HESTIA What did you do and how to fix it?

Does the user hestiaweb exists in /etc/passwd ?

No.
I’ve tried to add new user hestiaweb and give it sudo permissions but no effect. There is no error but still admin panel is down

Based on this change log
https://raw.githubusercontent.com/hestiacp/hestiacp/refs/heads/main/CHANGELOG.md

  • Hestia now runs under a new hestia-web user.

I don’t know, I don’t have hestia on my server right now, still trying, so, I hope you can solve your problem.

I know about it but it is not created on my systems. There is no hestiaweb user

What was the old version in HesitaCP?
