I needed to reset the access to my wordpress and I wanted to do it through mysql.

I got the password from nano /usr/local/hestia/conf/mysql.conf and I used root as username,
I also opened temporarily port 3306 just in case but I get this error on the login page.

mysqli::real_connect(): (HY000/1698): Access denied for user ‘root’@‘localhost’

I do not know what I am doing wrong, I created the wordpress site using another user account and not the admin account as recommended by Hestia.

I used these steps

Make sure to update swell mysql.conf otherwise you fail to create new databases and make backups.

I changed the wordpress password then deleted the new sql user. Is that enough ?
