I would advise you to install a firewall from ConfigServer.com called CSF. I am using it for more than a decade and it is free. It has finegrain control over many things.
But the controls designed in Hestia routines to configure iptables are too basic. They are OK to have until you have installed and configured any other firewall with lots of complexities.
Both of them will work with iptables. The only difference is that CSF will give you a possibility to control visually many things as well as over CLI. Finally these changes are saved and applied on using the iptables package.
