Deprecation notice (November 2025)
AWStats has been maintained for 25 years with enormous appreciation for everyone who used and contributed to it. The AWStats project is now deprecated and no longer actively developed. For modern, privacy-respecting, supported log analytics we strongly recommend migrating to Matomo Log Analytics.

Is Hestia planning on moving to Matomo in the future for Log Analytics since AWStats is no longer maintained?

Thanks for the heads-up. I didn’t know that AWStats is no longer maintained by the original author, but maybe the community will give it a second life.

Regarding Matomo, I checked it briefly and it would be hard to implement because it requires a dedicated site and a database. For multiple users and sites, it would involve a lot of work using their API, etc.

Maybe the easiest transition would be to use GoAccess
