So having moved from other control panels, i love many things about hestiacp, however the one thing that bothers me a lot is the back and restore, it takes way too long compared to anything i have used before (restore takes around 5 minutes for 50mb, meanwhile same server different panel was faster (30s)), i have set the compression level to low, and the other setting normal, but still it takes way too long, and since my site has a rather large file it takes forever to restore, is there a way to fix that or do something to make it faster as i feel like that shouldn’t be the normal behavior giving every other option is way way faster (at least 20x faster)
How much time are we talking about…
For me 40gb user will take about 1,5 min to backup…

For me a 40 mb WordPress takes 3 minutes to backup and 5 minutes to restore, i alternated between gzip and zstd and it didnt make much difference. A side note using v-backup-user into SSH makes it run faster, but i love doing it in the hestiacp interface
There is a cronjob that runs ever 2 minutes so that can explain the 2 min delay…
