Changing directory for userdata

Can I change the userdata folder to another drive or would linking folders to folders work?

mount the drive and do not symlink

what to do after I mount it?

Mount /home folder to that drive …

https://www.howtogeek.com/442101/how-to-move-your-linux-home-directory-to-another-hard-drive/#:~:text=To%20move%20your%20home%20folder%2C%20identify%2C%20partition%2C%20and%20then,to%20the%20new%20home%20folder.

but can I also move the configs for each user over on the drive too

cause I though of having the /usr/local/hestia/data/users in the drive
