Clamav-daemon question

If i am not sending or receiving emails from the system - not using webmail (only sending emails via third party companies - Sparkpost).
is there any added value for not stopping the clamav-daemon ?

If exim is running OK with eris’ modifications above, you may also like to disable the clamav service

$ sudo systemctl stop clamav-daemon
$ sudo systemctl disable clamav-daemon
$ sudo systemctl stop clamav-freshclam
$ sudo systemctl disable clamav-freshclam

If you’re sure you wont’ require it again, you can uninstall it with apt remove or apt purge, of course.

Thanks. But most important is Do I need it? is there any added value for CLAMD even if I don’t use webmail?

If you use email could be. Otherwise not…
