Could Someone Please Help me setup SSL Certificates on HestiaCP?

Hello everyone :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

I am contacting you to ask for advice on setting up SSL certificates using HestiaCP for my website. I recently installed HestiaCP on a new server and put it up; and I am currently working on SSL certificate security for my website. But I have run into some challenges in combination with the road; and I would be very grateful for any help and knowledge you could provide.

I have set up the necessary DNS records to point to my server and registered my domain to HestiaCP.

I have requested to create a free SSL certificate for my domain using HestiaCPs We Should Encrypt feature. Although the process looked to be free of mistakes, I am not sure if the certificate was set up and used correctly.

I have been using several different SSL testing applications to see how my SSL certificate is doing; but the results may not be uniform. While some tools indicate problems with the certificate chain and dates of expiration, others suggest that the certificate is installed correctly.

I am having a few SSL testing tools report certificate chain issues. I am not sure if there is more work to be done to fix it or if the setup was not completed. Make sure the SSL certificate has been set to perform periodic regeneration. Since I am not comfortable with HestiaCP registration process; I would appreciate any advice or guidance on how to set it up correctly. My website has been displaying mixed content warnings since I enabled SSL. I have no idea how to find and address these problems so that my users can use my site safely.

  • How to confirm that the SSL certificate has been installed and set up appropriately.
  • How to identify and fix issues with the certificate chain.
  • How to set up HestiaCP to automatically refresh your SSL certificate.
  • Resolving mixed content warnings on an SSL secured website

Also I explored some topics related to this https://forum.hestiacp.com/t/obtaining-letsencrypt-ssl-fails-when-proxy-genaitraining-template-set-to-nodejs3000/14788/3 but I did not get the sufficient solution of my query so I would really want to get some help from a more experienced person.

I am interested to hear your suggestions for more knowledge and resources.
I appreciate your help in advance. :hugs:

Hi @Tinsley,

Use your browser

If you added the certificate using Hestia it will be automatically renewed when the certificate is due to expire in 30 days.

It will depend but basically you must configure your site so all assets, scripts, css, images, etc. are loaded from an https connection.
