The log ends here?
I see no error in that log.
Anyway, before trying to install Hestia.
apt update
apt full-upgrade
I get this error again when running apt full-upgrade
Segmentation fault
E: Sub-process /usr/bin/apt-listchanges --apt || test $? -lt 10 returned an error code (1)
E: Failure running script /usr/bin/apt-listchanges --apt || test $? -lt 10
Well, something doesn’t work on your system and it isn’t because of Hestia. I would install a new and fresh OS.
On the SolusVM control panel, I reinstalled Debian 12 x86_64 Minimal before installing Hestia.
Many times to no avail
Also, I noticed that the drive is on /dev/vda1 instead of /dev/sda1
Is this an issue?
So that’s a KVM or OpenVZ VM? If you are using OpenVZ, I’ve no idea whether you need to modify something to made it to work…
It’s KVM
I managed to install Hestia on the same VPS some months ago. I decided to nuke the VPS and restart over. Now, I have installation issues.
Have you changed any code in Hestia recently? I noticed that the list of installation options is changed too
You are installing Hestia 1.8.11 and that version didn’t change since November 2023.
Your system language is English?
If it isn’t try to install it using this:
bash -c "LANG=C ./hst-install.sh [here all the options]"
Edit: Fix, I wrote the wrong command.
Note: if you add a password, enclose it using single quotes --password 'SecretPassword!'
I can install Hestia on Debian 11. But keep running into problems with Debian 12
I only install Hestia on Debian 12 and it works pretty fine. When you install the fresh Debian 12 image, Can you use apt-update
and apt full-upgrade
with no issues?
can apt-update
and apt full-upgrade
but unable to install Hestia.
After running this command,
mv /etc/apt/apt.conf.d/20listchanges /etc/apt/apt.conf.d/20listchanges.bak,
can install Hestia. But unable to connect to http://96.9.213.228:8083/
nor SSH to [email protected] after installing Hestia
I don’t know why apt-listchanges
is failing on your system.
That server doesn’t show any open port, nor does it respond to ping.
If you wish to take a look, I can PM you the SSH password. Otherwise, I’ll just install on Debian 11
I would like to take a look but if there are no open ports I won’t be able to do so.
Thanks. Have PM you the details
