Thank you for sharing these concerns – they are completely valid.
At the moment, both the core developers and the project founders are heavily involved in other projects, their own companies, and private commitments. This has significantly limited the time we can currently dedicate to Hestia on a day-to-day basis.
That said, Hestia is not abandoned. As mentioned in an earlier forum post, we continue to maintain the project with a strong focus on security and stability. New features have been deliberately postponed so that the limited resources available can be used where they matter most.
We are actively working on a new release that will address outstanding security-relevant updates (such as PMA, Roundcube, and others). Our current target is Thursday or Friday, although this timeline cannot be guaranteed.
We are fully aware that several valuable pull requests – including some significant contributions – are currently waiting for review. This backlog is a direct result of the capacity issues described above, not a lack of interest or appreciation for the work being done.
If anyone is willing to support the project, whether through reviews, testing, or active development, please reach out. Any help is genuinely appreciated and would make a real difference.
Thank you for your patience, your feedback, and your continued trust in the project.
