Document root for IP address

I need to know where the document root is when I go to http://192.168.0.253 (or whatever you choose) since it is not assigned to a domain. The server is only being used internally on the LAN and doesn’t have an FQDN accessible from the internet.

I am going to put documents there for students to display in the browser like PDF. I am not worried about security.

/var/www/html/ is the path you search. But maybe it would be a good idea to provide a domain name instead using the ip? Does also work if the server is internal .
