Our hosting server and backup server have been rendered inaccessible by Contabo and they are being very slow at fixing it, however I can access them in a rescue image so I have set up VMs at another provider and am trying to restore from there. I’ve now found my account backups are broken but I can mount the server disc images. What is the best way to recreate accounts? I’m thinking manually create the accounts on the new server and rsync the old account data into them?
I can now see that I can pretty much recreate the accounts from /usr/local/hestia/data/users, is there a command line script that does that all ready to save reinventing the wheel?

Thank you, but as I said, my backups are broken, but I have all the data on virtual machine disks.
