Error generating Let's Encrypt certificate – Secondary validation RPC failed

Hi everyone,

I’m having an issue when trying to generate a Let’s Encrypt SSL certificate through Hestia for the domain assessoriaenergiasolar.online. The panel returns the following error:

Error: Let's Encrypt validation status 400 (assessoriaenergiasolar.online).
Details: 500: "During secondary validation: Secondary validation RPC failed"

Some important points:

  • The domain is properly pointed to the server’s IP address (I’ve confirmed the DNS records and the site is accessible via HTTP).
  • I am not using Cloudflare or any reverse proxy that could interfere with the validation process.
  • I’ve set up another server with the same configuration, and the exact same error occurs there as well.

Has anyone experienced this before or has any idea how to fix it?

Thanks in advance for any help!

Hi @clarencebmayer

That usually means you’re blocking traffic from some of the geographic locations Let’s Encrypt uses to validate your domain.

Anyway, I see that you’re now using CyberPanel instead of HestiaCP.
