I had this problem, maybe someone knows how to solve it, it just hangs and shows that it takes up a lot of memory
Database & web-terminal are not eating up memory as such.
Maybe write which one is eating it up? Restart the server, not just the services.

and it’s not very funny that the memory consumption of mysql is frozen and neither reboot nor anything helps
Sorry to say, but we are unfortunately not equipped with a crystal ball. Please take the time to provide proper and complete information. It took three posts until it finally became clear that MariaDB is the actual problem, and even now there are still no logs provided.
