Unfortunately, I tried the method and it did not work, so I am posting my post here.

In order to assist further, may I ask what did you do exactly, and how it did not help? The reason: There is no clean way to uninstall a binding control panel, (like any other panel), and then it will further mess up for you.

Please stop giving half baked answers. Also that command will not help. It will break a lot of things.

Where is this script located? Please confirm it works else a new user or even an old user will just land into trouble.

@yunli We don’t support uninstalling Hestia. Mainly reason is it still leaves behind a lot of trace config that can cause issues when reinstalling.

Best method is to just backup the data and reinstall the server…

Because I’m not an expert in these matters, I followed different instructions, which is why the problem occurred: I can’t access the control panel, the databases are damaged, and many other issues.

But I’m hopeful that I’ll find a solution. My question is, are there commands to remove the administrator user and other users, for example?
My project contains a PostgreSQL database, but I made a mistake when installing the control panel initially.
My project is based on ASP.NET, and I want to upload it correctly to the control panel.

I don’t have any data to lose. All I want now is to delete all the files, even if I have to manually delete them. I need commands for this.

When installing the dashboard, users should have been notified that it could not be deleted later, so we could decide whether to install it or not.

I do not recollect this, but I guess you are right from a non-technical pov. We can surely include if not already present.

Then please do a fresh/clean install of the operating system. Whichever you were using. Debian 12.10 or Ubuntu 24.X for example. Then rerun the control panel setup as directed in the documentation. If you feel familiar with custom installation, feel free to use that method for control panel installation & setup.

It can happen. I am guessing you have a VPS or root server from someplace. That provider must allow for fresh os installation. kindly do install from there. Or if using on a physical equipment, you can just rerun installation as you did previously.

Yes. v-delete-user Documentation on command line scripts of hestia - more commands and details here.

Unless I am mistaken it is a windows os based stuff. It may or may not run on linux based os. I maybe wrong here.

Hestia should not be supported in asp.net environments!

Thanks. That is why I cleared myself in the start. I was not sure and it was best to avoid myself from being incriminating. :face_with_tongue:

Now I want to restore the dashboard to its default settings to fix database and security certificate issues.
So, what commands should I use?
I really need help. I want to delete the database, the users, and all the data that could hinder the reinstallation process. I need a lot of commands to use.

Can a Python project work without problems if the ASP.NET project’s board does not support it?

Python would not give any issues. Just run as per instruction of the project you wish to run.

As I said. Do not do that. Do a fresh installation of your operating system and then install hestiacp over it. Otherwise you will be stuck in a loop of trying and asking.

I tested it in a local environment and there was no problem reinstalling after uninstalling! Works well

There is no possibility to reinstall the operating system, I am currently using Ubuntu latest.

I will explain to you the Hestiacp is installed on the system but other services I cannot install to access the control panel.
