I am new to Hestia CP and will set up a trial to test a HA failover infrastructure. Can you please advise how this could be achieved, and if Hestia could add native HA support in the future?
Use Case:
I am wanting to migrate two cPanel accounts. Using Vultr I will create two servers and one managed database server - the DB will be HA by default, and the two servers I would like to mirror one another. I will use Vultr or perhaps CloudFlare Load Balancer to manage the load between them.
What can Hestia offer in terms of the rsync or whatever / clustering options so that I can keep the two servers in sync?
Thank you but I use Cloudflare for DNS and will not put that onto the server. I simply want Load Balancer to kick over to server 2. But what way to duplicate the Hestia CP server in two locations ?
Really, this missing feature is the only reason I don’t move many more sites to Hestia / spin up more instances. I can live with OS etc, but really need a failover / Load Balancer option.
How to keep configs in sync between Hestia installs
Have a propper storage solution so you can access all the files from each server
And do the same with database
It will not work with Hestia …
Most users have 1 server running for a few websites in this case Cluster / High availability should never be an option. And I really don’t want to implement this in Hestia…
Unless somebody is willing to invest a shit ton of time into it…
So unless you solve the issues above it will not be possible…
