How does Clamav actually works in Hestia?

I’ve been using different panels with clamav.
And I really dont even know if this works.

Because with any of the panels I use, I still get emails with viruses attached to them.
Even a manual scan does not detect them.

How do I block these emails with viruses attached to them?

You can send an EICAR virus (EICAR Standard Anti-Virus Test File) to your mail server to test whether Clamav is working fine rejecting it.
