How to change FQDN hostname

Hello everyone,

I’m a newbie here and still getting familiar with things.
Using a tutorial i found online, i set my FQDN hostname during installation to “hestiacp.mydomain.com”.
The problem is, i’m yet to set up my domain properly with the server and will like to replace with my public IP.
I ve tried using my IP with port 8083 where hestcp was installed on, its not working.

Any help on how to change this.

Thanks in anticipation

You have to use hestiacp.mydomain.com:8083 it will not work with your IP address.

If you need to set a new FQDN then you should connect via SSH and use this command:

$HESTIA/bin/v-change-sys-hostname new.mydomain.com
