I have a VPS with hostname name.domain.com. This name is DNS resolvable, but I don’t have access to DNS management, so I can’t create more DNS entries in that zone. I want to install Hestia on that VPS and host a web site on the same URL name.domain.com.
If I setup Hestia and use the name.domain.com as the server hostname, the installer will create this web domain under the admin user. And as we know, we should never host web sites under the admin user.
What do you suggest I do in this case?
Should I install Hestia using that hostname and then use v-change-domain-owner
to transfer that web domain to another user? Wouldn’t this mess things up with Lets Encrypt certificate for the panel and the domain? Are there any other options to handle this?
