How to set SMTP credentials for HestiaCP Notifications

Hi,
I’d like to set some local SMTP credentials to be the default to use for any notification email sent by HestiaCP, like the ones for the crons.
Currently the default sender email address is [email protected] however emails are failing to be sent/delivered and I can only see the failed attempts in the exim logs.
I’ve enabled the mail server and domains hosted in my Hestia are able to send emails properly, so I just need to create an [email protected] email address and then set the credentials and SMTP details somewhere. But where?
Can you please advise?

Best regards,
Ade

Any suggestions?

In server settings → SMTP relay but it will enforce for everything

So there’s no way to set the sender only for HestiaCP and not for the sites?

No currently not…

I had tried this to play with exim4 before years, exactly what you mentioned. I could not achieve this. May be my knowledge was limited on this area.

But I tell you, it is not going to be easy …

Thank you all for your replies but as this seems too odd to me, I’m going to rephrase this and ask you confirmation once again

There’s no way to receive system notifications by HestiaCP using an SMTP authentication and keep exim working for all the sites?

You might be able to add hostname.domain.com and set it there and it might work.
