IMAP is not working, I am not receiving emails

Hi guys

First of all I apologize that I have put my fingers in the wrong place as it is not natively integrated in HestiaCP.

Yesterday I installed sieve to have the filters in roundcube and dovecot stopped working, seeing that we could not restart the dovecot service I did a complete uninstall of sieve.

It seemed to work perfectly, but I’m afraid the problem is that now imap is not working, SMTP is working but I don’t receive emails in any of the domains I host.

Can anyone enlighten me on how to move forward?

How did you install sieve?

First I used this instruction

bash /usr/local/hestia/install/upgrade/manual/install_sieve.sh

then I added manage sieve in roundcube

nano /var/lib/roundcube/config/config.inc.php

$config[‘plugins’] = [‘password’, ‘newmail_notifier’, ‘zipdownload’, ‘archive’, ‘managesieve’];

I finally restarted the Dovecot and exim4 services.

That script gave any error? I’m asking because the script should also modify roundcube conf and you did it manually…

The script should work fine, to know what’s going on you should check dovecot status and dovecot’s log.

You should ask question regarding protomail there. We can’t help you here…
