I have just installed HestiaCP and it looks fine. However the installer mentions a backup URL at an IP address out of the range of my network. Also when I add a domain, the only choice I get is that same IP: 213.193.248.59.
I am using Hestia CP in a network that already has DNS and I will use it only for intranet purposes (not an outbound service). I don’t want the CP to interfere with DNS, so I probably should disable it in the Hestia config. How do I do that?
You are right, I discovered that the IP address in question was our own external IP address. I wondered where it came from, and was under the impression that HestiaCP was running it’s own DNS server on our local network. Considering my later findings, that seems to be untrue
