Migrating from Microsoft Exchange 2016 to hestiacp

Hello

I’m a new hestiacp user.

I would like to know what the issue of the maximum load of hestiacp and its stability looks like?

I’m interested in migrating an email domain and 150 mailboxes. Currently, everything works under the control of MS Exchange 2016.

The size of all mailboxes is 2.5TB.

I put Ubuntu 24 LTS as a HyperV virtual machine.

My expectations are to provide support for 150 e-mail boxes + Roundcube + calendar sharing on employees’ computers + mobile phones + mail domain.

Can hestiacp handle such a task on HyperV with Ubuntu?

At the moment we don’t have support for calender / calender sharing

I don’t think 150 mail boxes is an issue and as long you have more then enough storage 2,5 TB eater …

So the roudcube version installed in hestiacp does not have a calendar module and cannot be shared?

But can I run it at my own risk?

I can’t verify this because I ran hestiacp without DNS redirection and I can’t access roundcube.

Also, HestiaCP doesn’t support Push email. i.e. your users won’t get emails or calendar requestes pushed to their devices automatically like Exchange does via ActiveSync or Gmail does via their protocol. I have investigated this and there is something called “Z-Push” which is open source equivalent of ActiveSync but HestiaCP hasn’t incorporated this in a release and you will have to compile it yourself.

It was long abandoned for over a few years implementing then would require doing a lot of work by our self. It seems to be more active how ever still lacking a lot of things…

Can you say what is missing ? If someone develops a this integration wtih Z-Push will you add to the repo ?
