Newbie of the day with this panel since this morning!
I lost my connection to the panel tonight after a server restart, inaccessible also the web pages that I had put online. Just before that I had a SFTP connection with Filezilla thanks to which I transferred files to the server; I had also just tried to create a subdomain, which had caused an error. I have already searched a couple of hours in the logs without success … I just saw that my SFTP access is no longer possible either.
If you have any leads to help me, it will be with pleasure!
Can you access the HestiaCP panel without issues?
- From there, you can reconfigure anything you need
Do you have SSH access?
- You can then use any Hestia CLI commands to restore anything
What exactly does not work?
- Is it only the SFTP connection of a certain user?
- Is your IP address banned by fail2ban?

No, I can’t access the panel, but I do have SSH access.
Attempts to connect via SFTP give:
“Error: FATAL ERROR: Network is unreachable
Error: Unable to establish a connection to the server”
The 3 domains and 1 subdomain online are inaccessible.
I’ll look into how to check my IP issue with fail2ban

… my IP had indeed been banned!
Probably my multiple simultaneous connections, repeated and combined over short periods of time … I will look at the rules tomorrow to adapt them and not fall into the same trap again.
