Pros and cons of HestiaCP (add)

Today Hestia has a number of pros and cons. My vision is this:
Pros

  1. The most important advantage is backup and recovery of sites and administrators, including
    a. Websites
    b. Mail (including messages)
    c. Cron Settings
    d. There are no firewall settings (it would be nice if they were transferred just as easily)
  2. Easy parameter settings:
    a. Standard Nginx configuration
    b. Standard email configuration, including spamassist, easy setup in the panel, obtaining certificates, forwarding, increasing limits, etc. There is something to compare with, paying attention to other panels of free versions
    c. Various versions in the application that can be installed in one click (there are not many of them, but there are some that are very common)
    d. Various configurations of Apache+Nginx, just Nginx and so on.
  3. After setting up in the panel, you don’t have to look much there and manage the server through the terminal
  4. Very light weight, in normal mode without sites 250-300 MB of RAM, and there is no impact on the processor. There is something to compare with, look at the resources consumed by other panels on the market, including paid ones.
  5. Flexibility to customize the parameter through server templates; the panel itself does not interfere with this in any way. Again, there are panels that do this from just the panel, such as Fastpanel.
  6. Quite good documentation(some points are not fully described), but generally good

Cons

  1. Bugs take a very long time to fix; they can be fixed on the forum, but they are very rarely included in the editorial office. Those. when transferring the panel to another VDS, you have to edit everything again.
  2. The design may be outdated, but this does not bother me, since for me it is the ease of resource consumption, everything else comes later.
  3. Lack of funding makes any edits and releases of new versions very slow.
Offer the rest yourself :grinning:. Возможно списки дополнятся

You can consider sponsoring or joining the submission of bug fixes to make it faster or fix common problems

Or pay for any other solution out there. Cpanel, for example, you can use it, pay for it, and get all the cons solved that you unfortunately found here.

It’s about the money, not the downsides, I described how I see the Hestia panel now. The technical part of it is in order; omissions to add fixes during the process of identifying them are due to lack of funding. This is also why version 1.9 is delayed (for myself, I don’t see any big changes in it).
It can also be noted that those issues that are resolved on the forum take a very long time to get into the versions or do not get there at all. I test and learn many opensource things, and often write about certain product tasks on various forums, I’m just interested (this is my help), but I can’t pay for anything in Russia, nor can I accept payment (with some exceptions ).
