HCP has default DNS server option, like an authoritative server. However, when one sets it up, and then tries to use other domains, email, etc, the server kind of starts acting up. Works intermittently, as in works sometime, does not work sometime, breaks a lot. I am just not sure if I had initially done it correctly or not. Although in the current setup the NS do respond as authoritative server.
What I am trying to determine is, does HCP actually work oob as a recursive and authoritative DNS server, and can one then setup their other stuff on it as well?
Quick point: I had tried around 2 years back, but as I stated it started cranking that time, and I then stopped trying to use it as a proper DNS resolver, and now only use it as my mail server and blogs etc.
