Raspi via dyndns

hello everyone.

the idea… install hestiacp on a raspi and use it as a mail backup server. no mail should be sent from this server.

connect dyndns - done
rapsi system on hdd - done
hestiacp installed - done
set up mail server - done
set up port for mail - done
hestia accessible internally - works
hestia accessible externally - works
webmail accessible internally - doesn’t work
webmail accessible externally - doesn’t work
receive emails - doesn’t work

what have I forgotten? where am I making a mistake?

provide more informations. for example the output you get, or any other additional informations. “doesnt work” is to less to help.

receive emails - works now

internal and external access is forwarded to the set search engine

Is it possible to access ipadress/webmail instead of webmail.ipadress?

this isnt anyway a valid address. Add a hosts entry for webmail.domain.tld to your server ip and you should be able to access webmail.

sorry, I expressed myself badly. I’m writing with a translator…

The query would be internal via the IP address.

Externally, I have a subdomain address, i.e. webmail.username.domain.tld, and Firefox redirects me to the search engine.

It would of course be great if I could access the webmail server via both methods.
