Restoring postgres dbs from a backups doesn't assign them to the right owner

Hey guys, noticed that restoring postgres dbs from the backups assigns everything to ‘postgres’ aka root user, instead of the actual user they should be owned by. Is that how it’s supposed to be? Not being assigned to the right user prevents dbs from being used until reassigned.
