Should I create a separate email domain for a Nextcloud installation on a subdomain?

Hi!

I have an infrastructure question.

Domain name:
mydomain.com

Subdomain hosted on the dedicated server:
cloud.mydomain.com

Do you recommend creating (now, I forgot to do this when setting up the hosting…) a DNS domain and a separate email domain, given that my domain name is managed by my registrar?

My concern is the potential for the entire domain (mydomain.com) to be flagged as spam for an email address like [email protected] rather than [email protected]?

I’m not sure if I’m being clear.

Regards, and happy Easter.

But your mx domain will remain same. Example mail.domain.com or mail.cloud.domain.com, which in essence is domain.com for the spam checking softwares.

Sure, nu01, if domain is blacklisted, I can do nothing.
In fact, I think I have now a solution with Gemini.

I have made some screencaps (only) for my HestiaCP mail DNS, and entries of registar DNS, and he gave me the solution.

Nextcloud can send mail with noreply.

Have a nice afternoon, and thanks a lot for your respons. I will keep a close eye on this all this month.
