SOA record email address

Hello Community,

Where can I change email address for SOA record? Default email for SOA record is [email protected]

I tried to change SOA email @line 2 in domain.com.db located @ home/UserName/conf/dns

Change:

@ IN SOA ns1.domain.com. root.domain.com.

to

@ IN SOA ns1.domain.com. info.domain.com.

This does not seem to work.

I have by default no email adress

Ok, I thought root.domain.com is an email address!

I am talking about this.

So how can I change this email address/ SOA record?

As far as I know, the root.xxxx.xx. is indeed considered as an email address in zone specification.

I don’t think there is a way in Hestia to change that email address. Unless of course you edit the zone file manually.

zone files will get rebuild and any changes will get lost.
