I have several personal websites hosted on my HestiaCP and have not made any changes for months to them or the panel. On the 28th I received an email from HestiaCP with the following message: ‘Error: Let’s Encrypt finalize bad status 403 (subdomain.domain.tld)’.
After reviewing the configurations of all the web domains, I noticed that the one with the error was the only one where I had not checked the ‘Enable automatic redirection to HTTPS’ option. Since I enabled it I have not received any other errors.
Thanks for the type. And it makes sense.
I got an email today with 6 of my 14 domains stating that hesta update letsencrypt ssl failed
with the infamous “Error: Let’s Encrypt finalize bad status 403”
And guess what, for a funny reason, they all didn’t have the “Enable automatic redirection to HTTPS” option checked.
All others did and didn’t generate an error.
Thanks.
