Unable to connect via ftp - wrong password error

Hello friends.

I installed the panel today and am currently trying to ftp in to the server. I set up the domain and edited ftp password. Saved the settings.
I know I used correct password yet I am getting the error. When trying to connect to my server via ftp client I get the following:

Status:	Connecting to 74.21x.xxx.xxx:21...
Status:	Connection established, waiting for welcome message...
Status:	Initializing TLS...
Status:	TLS connection established.
Command:	USER myserver_kingofthehill
Response:	331 Please specify the password.
Command:	PASS ****************
Response:	530 Login incorrect.
Error:	Critical error: Could not connect to server

The server is Debian 11 and it is a fresh install of the panel. I tried to disable the firewall - still unable to use the FTP.
Does anybody have any ideas on how to fix this issue?

Thank you a lot!

additional ftp account? you can login with your user aswell.

if additional, username doesnt make sense - it is username_whateveryouenter - but this may be due to redaction

I redacted actual user name for privacy

I tried the main user name and password just now. Still getting that “wrong password” error. I know the password is correct because I copy/paste it.

should work out of the box. Check your vsftpd log in /var/log

@Raphael My apologies, it was my mistake. I did not copy the username completely, somehow managed to do it twice. I just re-tried to connect and was able to successfully connect so we can close this request.

Cheers!
