Hello,
I’m having an issue with receiving email notifications from my server after performing a backup any things else. My XenForo forum is working fine, and emails are being sent smoothly using the relay SMTP configuration. For example, the “Contact Us” form sends emails without any issues.
However, I am not receiving any system notifications from the server. Is there something I need to check or configure to fix this?
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

You mean an external smtp relay or you mean your own Exim mail server?
Check the logs to know the reason mails can’t be sent:
exigrep '<= noreply@' /var/log/exim4/mainlog --no-pager
exigrep '<= root@' /var/log/exim4/mainlog --no-pager

i use smtp.gmail.com and 2 commands return empty
Did you try to send a notification recently? I mean, for example, create a user and mark the option to send the credentials to an email.
Maybe is not in the last log, use a wildcard.

i have set smtp.gmail.com as relay smtp in Configure Server ===> mail server is corret steps??
Gmail can’t be used as a smtp relay server. Use any other like smtp2go, brevo, sendgrid, etc. those services have free plans (limiting allowed mails per hour/day/month)
