Hi, I’m considering upgrading my MySQL server using the guide linked here https://dev.mysql.com/doc/refman/8.0/en/mysql-upgrade.html. However, I’m concerned about compatibility with HestiaCP. I came across a topic on the HestiaCP forum where someone mentioned that the MySQL server failed to start after an upgrade: MySQL server repair - #2 by charithabuddhika. Could anyone advise if upgrading MySQL would work smoothly with HestiaCP or if there are any known issues I should be aware of?
Haven’t tested it but it should work fine…
do a full backup and try, no issues expirienced here, but all depends on your setup

I currently have a VPS running Ubuntu 22.04 with both PostgreSQL and MySQL installed. When you mention “backup,” are you referring to downloading it from the HestiaCP backup page?
