Why do zipping a particular folder contains whole user dir

Hii,

In hestiacp file manager, when we zip lets say a folder under public_html dir named “my_dir”, the zipped file when extracted contains the all parent path folders such as web/public_html/mydir . Why is this behaviour like this? is it intended ?

Hello, if you archive the selected folder, the entire path is archived. This is a specificity of file managers in many panels and even on hosting sites. Just use Filezilla and everything will be easier)
