After an autoupdate all sites are not working

Hi everyone,

I need a quick help please, last night something has happened, I believe that Hestia has been updated automatically to v1.8.12 and now all my sites are offline.
All sites are returning the default index page but even if I specify the index.php manually I get a 404. I’m using Nginx only

I see that all the Nginx configuration files are empty, I was using a template

That is strange we haven’t updated any regarding any templates only rebuild the users

If I create a new site and I set a phpinfo page as index I get the Request Header Or Cookie Too Large error, I can fix that via Nginx but even if I switch configuration files in the Hestia option, the files are empty

Increasing large_client_header_buffers to 4 32k causes a PHP 500 error, again it’s just a phpinfo page

This worked for me

How do I deactivate auto updates?

v-delete-cron-hestia-autoupdate

Or via Web UI: Server Settings → Button Updates → Click on Disable Automatic Updates

Hey @sahsanu, there’s no such option under the Updates menu, should I use the SSH command?

Button Updates

Hi,

I too had the same issue, all websites down after the auto update, using nginx only too.

I commented out the lines migrate_ngnix_apache_nginx-php-fpm.sh as suggested which got me to the homepages of all the websites.

However, no sub pages were working.

I found that the Website Template in the Edit Web Domain - Advanced Options section of Hestia Control Panel had reverted to the default (NGINX). Changing this to Wordpress fixed the issues.

Very scary thing to wake up to! 15 websites down! I have now disabled auto updates!

Hope that helps!

Best Regards,

the LAST time that this happened to me, I just had to turn off the FastCGI cache for each site.

I just LOVE how the backend HestiaCP interface is SOOOOOO fast. Compared to stuff like CyberPanel, I can breeze through and setup a dozen sites in HestiaCP in 10 minutes. I CANNOT do the same thing (using the web interface) on CyberPanel or other control panels.
