I don’t have all the glorified tools of V Mware and Esxi. I can just remote into my single Esxi server.
You can’t grow the partition while your server is running, so you must shut it down. Then mount the GParted Live ISO in your hypervisor and start the server from the ISO. From there, you can run GParted and resize and extend the partition. Once done, reboot and start your server as usual.

The server itself is running all kinds of servers there’s 32 terabytes on that server I’m just trying to add 50 more gigs to the web server VM… I have already added the 50 gigs through the VM Ware it’s there I just need to expand the Partition
Take a look to this video. It uses Ubuntu Live instead of GParted Live ISO but the process is the same.

Doesn’t matter, you boot the VM with a live iso with all that you need to run GParted in graphical mode.

At this point it may be easier just to do it the way I used to do it by command line.

Sounds crazy to me? Sorry I just don’t get any part of it? Why would I boot off of another ISO? How would that work at all? I need to keep my web server up and running for the most part? Seems like a lot of work just to grow a partition?
I’ve done it before via command line it’s a pain in the **** but that’s the way I’m gonna do it moving forward doesn’t seem any more harder than downloading ISO and doing it that way.
I love Linux but this is a major problem…
OK without totally disregarding all your advice I’m willing to learn. Paste a link here to the ISO for the debian you would want me to download and boot. I’m still having a confusing issue of how booting that Damian and looking at the other OS and adjusting the drive works?
Because you can’t resize the root partition of your VM while the OS is running. So you need to boot that VM with another OS to be able to the changes to the partition.
I’m sorry but I don’t know how to explain it better.
Maybe you did that in a LVM but not in a real partition.
